Fabric Description

  • Cotton applique on solid cream background. Background is possibly linen.
  • Applique fans are in prints. Background is solid background.
  • Colors are cream and red with some pinks, blue and purples.

General Organization

  • Grid is half drop, on-point setting of square blocks. There are 6 rows of 5 blocks and 5 rows of 4 blocks set on the half drop for a total of 50 fan blocks.
  • Block Name: Grandmother’s Fan
    BB ID: 3305 & 3306 – The fans listed under Brackman ID’s 3305 and 3306 have 6 or 8 blades. This quilt’s fans have 7 blades, otherwise they are the same.
